What do we want? Zero Waste!
When do we want it? Now!
When the City of Austin's Resource Recovery team need to re-engage the community in the latest phase of the Zero Waste Comprehensive Plan, they engaged our team to design and direct a video summary of the plan history, goals implementation and progress. We reintroduced concepts like circular economy, and used animation to illustrate specifics of the recycling and reuse programs. Our goals were to illustrate the accessibility and impacts of the plan, and update the city on its history and progress.
We scripted, storyboarded and animated the 3-minute explainer video with a local animator and a mix of in-house and outside voice talent. We produced the short in English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese for expanded accessibility in the community.
